Strong employment growth is reflected in Dublin’s office market for Q2 [Video]

Letting activity in the Dublin office market totalled 1.1m square feet in the first half of the year after a significant increase in take-up in the second quarter, according to Knight Frank.

The State’s purchase of the 182,000 sq ft Seamark Building for the HSE was the largest deal of the quarter ahead of Stripe‘s deal for 156,000 sq ft at One Wilton Park.

BNY Mellon‘s agreement for 79,000 sq ft at the Shipping Office was the largest deal for a financial services firm.

“Some 90% of companies that signed deals for office space in Q2 were moving to larger spaces, reflecting strong employment growth across the economy as well as improving sentiment and greater clarity around hybrid working policies,” according to report author Joan Henry, chief economist and director of research at Knight Frank.
