Officials in Ohio said shopping at small businesses helps fuel the growth of the state’s economy.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Shoppers can help support local businesses this weekend for Small Business Saturday, and there is no shortage of local stores, cafes and restaurants to visit in northwest Ohio and across the state.
State officials said Ohioans shopping at small businesses, not just on Saturday but every day, helps fuel the growth of the state’s economy.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our communities and play a major role in Ohio’s economic success,” Gov. Mike DeWine said. “Every dollar spent at a local small business goes toward strengthening our economy, creating jobs and building community pride.”
