It’s not been the easiest year for some national restaurants, including Red Lobster experiencing bankruptcy and closer growth for other full-service casual dining chains. That’s due to a number of factors, including rising costs and changing consumer spending.
In Sioux Falls, though, we have seen locals opening some new locations including Gib’s, a sports bar in the former Cherry Creek, and soon new full-service restaurants at The Steel District, as well as some around the mall area, we think in the coming months.
In talking to commercial brokers, there is still interest in some of the larger nationals in a second location — likely on the east side. There are no deals yet, but they tell us to expect names like Olive Garden and Texas Roadhouse to look at Veterans Parkway and …
