The Spartanburg County Fire Chiefs Association has confirmed that retired fire chief and current firefighter William Dale Worthy has died.Officials say Worthy served the Pacolet Fire Department for 50 years.According to officials, visitations will be held at the Pacolet Mills Baptist Church at 385 Stone Street, in the city of Pacolet, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday.Worthy’s funeral will be on Saturday at Pacolet Mills Baptist Church, according to officials.
