Proposed law in Kansas would change the brewery business [Video]

Kansas breweries are banding together to change state law to allow them to sell their own beer outside their doors. Currently, state law requires them to go through a distributor, but many small breweries say that this is limiting how much they’re able to grow their brands. While 41 other states already allow microbreweries to directly sell their beer, Kansas breweries are required to go through a distributor if they want to sell their beer to a restaurant or liquor store, who often take a large cut of their profits.Small breweries such as Discourse Brewing in Overland Park say that state law is limiting how much they can grow their own brand.
