Paul Gallagher takes over as CEO of Irish Hotels Federation [Video]

Former Buswells Hotel manager Paul Gallagher has been appointed as chief executive of the Irish Hotels Federation (IHF).

Gallagher has over four decades’ worth of experience in the tourism sector and brings a wealth of knowledge and senior leadership expertise to the role at the head of the national representative body for more than 900 hotels and guesthouses.

As CEO, Gallagher will oversee the strategic direction and operation of the IHF, working closely with industry partners, government and State agencies on behalf of the hotels sector to ensure conditions to support growth and development of Irish tourism and hospitality.

The industry currently employs 66,000 people directly and supports a total of 270,000 livelihoods.

Gallagher previously served as president of the IHF and chair of the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation (ITIC), and he is highly respected throughout the industry.
