Paramount’s Comedy Central Strikes Licensing Deal To Air Disney’s ‘Family Guy’ [Video]

Comedy Central has licensed the rights to library episodes of the Seth MacFarlane series Family Guy, marking the first-time ever that the series has aired on a Paramount-owned platform.

The series will launch on Comedy Central with an all-day marathon on Labor Day (September 2), and will join the primetime lineup starting on Tuesday, September 3.

“We are excited to welcome Family Guy to Comedy Central joining the best in adult animation alongside South Park, Futurama, and Beavis and Butt-Head, among others,” said Laurel Weir, executive vice president and head of programming, Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios and Paramount Media Networks. “Delivering bold, irreverent and culturally impactful content to our fans is our top priority which makes Family Guy the perfect complement to our robust adult animation slate.”
