Papa Johns focuses on ‘real moments’ of Christmas in Bicycle Studio campaign [Video]

Papa Johns has launched an online Christmas campaign through Bicycle Studio, the creative arm of Bicycle London. 

The campaign is the first AV work that Bicycle Studio has produced since its launch in July. The campaign consists of three 20-second clips.

In each clip, a Papa Johns delivery driver sings a version of the carol Ding Dong Merrily on High, with the lyrics adjusted to each customer.

In “Hangover help” he serenades a hungover party goer, with the line: “Overdid it, didn’t you, last night?”. In “Early celebrator” he sings: “The party season has begun, ‘cus your tree’s up in November” and in “Chaotic Christmas” the lyrics include the line: “You look like you need pizza.”

Bec Carroll, UK marketing director at Papa Johns, said: “These spots capture some of the real moments of Christmas that most ads normally ignore – the stress, hangovers and the slightly weird early start.
