NEW YORK (WABC) — The combination of gusty winds, low humidity and dry brush has increased the risk of wildfires across the Tri-State.
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for most of the area until 7:00 p.m.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are expected or occurring. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels will create a significantly
elevated fire growth potential.
The dry stretch is expected to continue through the end of the month.
