Now What!?, a new non-profit launched by Six Point Harness founder/CEO Brendan Burch, is “dedicated to encouraging young people to engage in the political process through laughter and compelling narratives.”
“We want to meet young people where they are, and that means leaning in to humor and smart storytelling to tackle tough subjects,” Burch said in a statement. “We’re aiming to bring the same energy and variety of Adult Swim-style cartoons, but doing it specifically to inspire young voters. Our mission is both to entertain and to educate, but above all to remind people that their vote is a powerful tool that shapes the future.”
The organization launched today its first series of shorts on Youtube. The cartoons are directed by industry artists Kate Purdy, Amy Hewett, and Grant Lindahl, and focus on issues like reproductive rights, voter supression, and gun control.
