NowThis, a progressive news brand that earned a loyal following among Millennials through snackable, socially-driven videos, is entering its next era – one that’s all about Gen Z.

The news startup is building an in-house studio dedicated to producing digital content for its 74 million followers across platforms, a shift that Michael Vito Valentino, the newly appointed editor-in-chief, says is rooted in the economic and cultural power of this young generation.

“Gen Z is leading the creator economy and is on track to become one of the highest consumer spending classes by 2030,” he tells The Drum. This shift comes at a time when media consumption is evolving, and Valentino believes NowThis is well-positioned to thrive.
