New Orleans mass shooting person of interest arrested [Video]

New Orleans Mayor Latoya Cantrell released the following statement on Instagram on Wednesday, in regards to Sunday’s mass shooting.Earlier Wednesday, WDSU pressed the Mayor’s communication team for answers regarding the Mayor’s absence. Communications Director Terry Davis alluded to the Mayor’s video release, which was not published at the time of the interview. The New Orleans Police Department announced that a person of interest has been arrested in connection with an investigation into a mass shooting at a second line in St. Roch. On Sunday, two shootings were reported in St. Roch during the Nine Times Second Line. The first shooting was in the 1800 block of Almonaster Avenue. This shooting injured 10 people. The second shooting was reported on the bridge at Almonaster Avenue and Florida Avenue. A total of three people were shot at this location, and two people died.
