SUMMERDALE, Ala. (WALA) – Work continues on a new fire station in the city of Summerdale.
Chief Michael Aaron says it’s on track to be completed by the end of November and that it’s a huge deal for the city.
“We’re very proud of the hard work these guys are doing, and we’re excited to get this fire station built and serving the community,” Chief Aaron said.
When it’s completed, it’ll be the second fire station here in this city. And that’s important because of the growth.
And this second station will go far in making sure new homes and businesses are protected.
“We’re ready. We’re serving a community that’s growing very rapidly. We’ve got over 3,000 single-family homes coming to Summerdale. Several businesses as well. So, we’re excited to get this fire station up and going and serving the public,” Chief Aaron said.
