New CT grant program will accelerate growth of supply chains, attract businesses [Video]

HARTFORD, Conn. — Connecticut has launched a $25 million program to help supply chains in the state’s core industries expand and increase production capacity.

Gov. Ned Lamont and the state’s Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Daniel O’Keefe hope that the program encourages the creation of new operations in Connecticut.

Known as the Strategic Supply Chain Initiative, the program will be administered by DECD and used to appeal to supply chain operations from across the country and the world.

“The support from this initiative will bolster Connecticut’s core industries, including high-tech manufacturing, renewable energy, information technology and other key growth sectors, and take practical steps to strengthen these sectors and grow good-paying jobs here in our state,” Lamont said in a release Thursday.
