If you’re traveling through Anchorage, there’s a new reason for kids to get excited about their airport experience. The brand new play area at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is now open, and it’s designed with an Alaskan nature theme!
The play area features local wildlife such as bears and moose, alongside representations of Alaskan flora and fauna. The space is also fully accessible, ensuring children of all abilities can enjoy some fun and burn off energy before their flight.
“We really wanted to reflect Alaska’s local flavor, so we updated our play area to include elements of the state’s nature. It’s a great space for kids to get some energy out, and it’s a fun addition for families traveling through the airport,” said Communications Coordinator Erik Peterson.
While the play area is already open, additional enhancements are planned for the new year, making this airport stop even more enjoyable …
