The Milwaukee Public School District is the latest to file a complaint against social media companies.It’s part of a class-action lawsuit. Milwaukee school leaders believe that platforms such Instagram, Google, YouTube, Snapchat and TikTok are negatively affecting students. The lawsuit claims these platforms are addictive and directly harm children’s mental health.”As one of the primary providers of mental health services to youth, Milwaukee Public Schools has been directly harmed by Defendants’ conduct and is engaging in this litigation to protect itself and its students,” the school district said in a post about Saturday’s meeting.This comes as the fate of TikTok is in the hands of the Supreme Court.
