MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) – Some major construction projects are taking place at the Meridian Regional Airport.
The list of projects includes a multi-million dollar runway drainage project, a new storage shed to store expensive equipment like baggage carriers, and even a brand-new terminal.
The airport has been in one terminal for the last 66 years.
The building has served its purpose, but as time goes on, things like security requirements and technology have changed, making it necessary to build a new space.
