Mellett has appointed Alf Smiddy as company chairman as it seeks growth in Ireland and Europe.
The Claremorris, Co Mayo-headquartered firm provides electrical contracting services for the data centre sector and currently employs 180.
Founder Brendan Mellett said the appointment marks a significant milestone for the company, and that its trajectory of success and innovation would continue under his leadership.
“We are thrilled with Alf Smiddy’s appointment to our board as we look to bring our company to the next phase of growth,” said Mellett, who serves as managing director.

Smiffy is a chartered accountant by profession, training with PwC. He is also a senior independent non-executive director with the ESB and previously held the same position with Dalata.
