MDL appointed as Irish distributor for XPENG cars [Video]

Motor Distributors Ltd (MDL) has been announced as the official importer and distributor of XPENG cars in Ireland.

The Chinese electric car company said the deal, which concluded in recent days following extensive and focused negotiations, marks a significant step forward in its European growth.

The XPENG G6 SUV model is expected to launch imminently and will be the first XPENG car to be sold and marketed in Ireland.

The flagship G9 SUV, the P7 sedan and the P7+ Fastback sedan are expected to follow over time, MDL and XPENG said.

“The XPENG portfolio of models which we will offer to Irish motorists and their dealers – whom we have yet to fully appoint – is one that MDL will be proud to represent,” said Paddy Finnegan, chief executive of MDL.
