Louisiana State Police monitoring threats against schools [Video]

Louisiana State Police are continuing to monitor incidents nationwide involving threats of violence made against schools. State police are partnering with federal and local agencies to investigate and share information to ensure the safety of the community. At this time, LSP says they are not aware of any credible threats to schools within the states but are closely monitoring leads, tips and information. Multiple school districts in St. Bernard, Covington and Slidell have increased police presence due to these social media threats. Individuals found making false threats could face up to 15 years in prison and face significant fines. Anyone who wishes to report suspicious activity or concerning threats against the public is asked to contact the Louisiana State Analytical and Fusion Center (LA-SAFE) at 225-925-4192.
