The outage began earlier Monday morning. The OMV said in a post on social media, that due to the system outage, it would currently be unable to process driver’s licenses, vehicle registration, and reinstatement transactions.
OMV Deputy Director Austin Badon told WWL Louisiana that the department’s computer “mainframe system” went down.
The department said their systems were restored at about 1:00 p.m. Monday.
