RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – With Thanksgiving almost here, people don’t want high prices on the table. Timmons Market, a locally-owned business with locations in Rapid Valley and Box Elder, is one place where people dealing with that are going.
One of the owners, Dan Bruner, echoes this statement.
“This time of year, everybody’s price-sensitive and price-conscious,” Bruner said.
Locally, more people are flocking to the table as well.
“Both stores, Rapid Valley and Box Elder, are experiencing tremendous growth in the neighborhoods,” Bruner said, “So new families are always coming in.”
Worries about pricing don’t just involve your Thanksgiving dinner, they also involve putting breakfast on the table with an ingredient that may be part of dinner.
“One of the biggest categories that we’ve seen that’s had some of the most vulnerability when it comes to pricing is egg pricing. Egg prices can jump 90 cents one week and down 60 the next, and they’re kind of all …
