Life-threatening flash flooding hits parts of Connecticut [Video]

A rare flash flood emergency was issued for parts of southwest Connecticut by National Weather Service meteorologists on Sunday afternoon after 6 to 10 inches of rain fell, creating the potential for life-threatening flooding across parts of the region. The National Weather Service described the situation as a “particularly dangerous situation.” Residents in the warned areas were urged to seek higher ground immediately due to life-threatening flash flooding.
