Trimble, Missouri, postal workers started delivering the first mail on Friday after last weekend’s blizzard. That was welcome news to residents in the southwestern corner of Clinton County after a week of missing packages and letters. Transportation delays and the funeral for former President Jimmy Carter on Thursday delayed mail across the metro this week. Brad Bowman lives along a rural road near Trimble. It’s passable. But no mail has come this week. Bowman said he understood weather concerns but has seen delays with the postal service throughout the past year. “FedEx has been here multiple times. UPS has delivered multiple times. Amazon has been here multiple times. Those guys figured it out, why can’t USPS?” he said.
