CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A local interior designer is on a mission to help clients transform their living and working spaces through mindful design, which incorporates mental health considerations into the design process.
After successfully overcoming stage four lymphoma, Jackie Barnes of Jackie Barnes Design courageously decided to leave her 19-year career at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital to pursue her dual passions for aiding others and interior design.
“I decided that, at that point, I was not happy with what I was doing in my career. I’ve always wanted to help people, and I’ve always been very interested in being creative with fabrics and textiles and patterns. I felt like like interior design really was a great combination of those two things,” Barnes said.
