The 2024 model year was the last for Infiniti’s Q50 compact sedan, leaving the brand with a lineup consisting of SUVs only for 2025.
The Q50 arrived for the 2014 model year and ushered in Infiniti’s Q naming strategy. However, it saw few updates over the years and some rivals, like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, have even been redesigned twice over the Q50’s lifespan.
At 10 years old, the Q50 was one of the oldest vehicles on the market, and its sales reflected that. Infiniti sold just 1,442 examples in the second quarter, down about 21% on the same period a year ago.
With the Q50 gone, it means the QX50 compact crossover is now the entry point for the brand. Pricing information hasn’t been announced for the 2025 model which goes on sale this fall, though Infiniti has confirmed that all-wheel drive will be a standard feature.
