Hungarian business insider: Cooperation with China vital to EV growth [Video]

The European Union recently voted to slap tariffs on China-made electric vehicles (EVs). The decision did not sit well with the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and many European businesses. Csaba Wolf, vice president of ChinaCham, the Hungarian-Chinese Chamber of Economy, said China is at the forefront of battery and EV technology. Cooperation with China is essential for those seeking cutting-edge, eco-friendly and cost-effective solutions. Despite the EU’s anti-subsidy probe into China-made EVs, it could not stop their global growth. Wolf believes that while tariffs may benefit a few European manufacturers in the short term, European original equipment manufacturers could face long-term challenges.
