HMD Fusion: Modular design, SD 4 Gen 2 CPU, 90Hz HD+ display [Video]

HMD has launched a new phone sans the Nokia branding. The company is taking its consumer freedom approach to a new level with the new HMD Fusion.

The new HMD Fusion comes with interchangeable covers called Fusion Outfits. It lets you put wireless charging, have a more rugged protection, or put a ring light that’s great for selfies and live streams. The said covers attach to the Smart Pins on the back of the device.

What’s more, you can 3D print your own designs via the open-source HMD Fusion Development Toolkit.

Like the HMD Skyline, the semi-transparent plastic frame lets you easily repair and replace the screen, battery, and other major components. HMD also promised to offer spare parts for the next seven years through iFixit.
