‘Griot Arts’ hosts bookstore opening to promote inclusion | Local [Video]

ROCHESTER,Minn.–A space that  brings life to art, stories, and a safe space is now open. 

Griot Arts,  located off Broadway Ave. North Rochester   was bustling with visitors Saturday as the business officially opened its doors to the community this morning. When visitors first walk in, they’ll  see shelves of books and stories written by people of color.

Owner and founder of Griot Arts, Nicole Nfonoyim-Hara says it isn’t just ‘page-tuners’ found in the store- but also  elements of performing and visual arts such as pieces like this. 

She tells KIMT Griot  is a community space that promotes inclusion , and is a setting for growing dreams.
