Veteran newsman Gerald Rivera has finally broken away from his old friend, Donald Trump, and is endorsing Kamala Harris for president.
Rivera made the announcement Monday in a lengthy post on X, formerly Twitter, that began with the words, “Sore Loser.”
In the post, Rivera said when Trump was in office “he was he was a loyal friend, who allowed regular access,” and admits he gave Trump “the benefit of most doubts” and still thinks “his presidency was underrated.”
Rivera said he stuck with Trump throughout his various scandals in office, including the 2017-2019 Mueller investigation into allegations Trump conspired with Russia.
“I stuck with him, deeply suspicious of constant efforts to undermine his Administration,” Rivera said, adding that he hasn’t spoken with his old pal since Nov. 13, 2020.
