The New York Jets received news today that running back Tarik Cohen would be stepping away from football. Cohen had been attempting to return from multiple knee injuries throughout the years but has instead chosen to hang up his cleats.

According to a report from Adam Schefter:
“Sources: Former Bears’ RB Tarik Cohen, who was attempting to come back from assorted knee injuries throughout his NFL career, informed the Jets today that he is retiring from football, effectively immediately. At his peak, Cohen was one of the NFL‘s most explosive players.”
Cohen began his career in 2017 when he was drafted No. 117 overall in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
