Foresight Solar Fund Ltd (LSE:FSFL) fund manager Ross Driver talked with Proactive’s Stephen Gunnion about the current landscape for renewable energy investments and the role of government policy in fostering growth. Driver emphasised the maturity of the renewable energy sector and called for certainty from policymakers to ensure long-term investments in a low-carbon economy.
Reflecting on the government’s UK investment summit, Driver discussed the need for stable policies to unlock private capital for infrastructure development. He highlighted progress in the renewable sector, such as the approval of significant solar projects, but also pointed out challenges like grid connection delays and the impact of high inflation and interest rates on investments.
