NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – President-elect Donald Trump is considering Louisiana Treasurer John Fleming for a position in his upcoming administration, Fleming confirmed to FOX 8.
“To answer your question, yes, I’ve been in discussions with the Trump administration. They have their talent scouts out,” Fleming said.
Fleming, a physician, spoke with FOX 8 shortly before Trump announced on social media that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was his choice to lead the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
“They reached out to me previously, even before he was elected, and collected my resume and information,” Fleming said.
Fleming is familiar with Trump, having served as deputy chief of staff in the White House during Trump’s first term.
