DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – Fire crews from Dorchester and Berkeley Counties are on the scene of a fire at a landfill Tuesday night.
The Dorchester County Fire Rescue said the fire is at the landfill located on Harrison Road. Officials shared pictures from the scene in a post on social media just after 8:30 p.m.
Fire Chief Tres Atkinson said the fire is approximately two acres.
Crews ask that drivers who are traveling on Highway 78 near Beidler Forest Road use caution as there are firefighters and firetrucks in the area.
The Berkeley County Fire Service is assisting.
