Investigators said Esteban Del Valle, 35, threatened Gorrie Elementary School in Tampa, targeting teachers. According to authorities, the incident stemmed from his son’s school suspension.
In court, Tampa Police Detective Ryan Khun said Del Valle was on speakerphone during a meeting with his child’s mother and school administrators to discuss that suspension. After an argument, the child’s mother hung up on him, then police said Del Valle texted her the threat.
The text was read aloud by Khun in court: “I’m on my way b**ch, I’ll be there and be the one to shoot up that b**ch, no kids, all teachers. They think I’m playing about my son. You and they will hear me.”
