Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard has hinted at the possibility of seeking the arrest of her political rivals during a lengthy social media rant – as her landlord revealed frustrations over their ongoing eviction battle.
Henyard shared a nearly 90-minute Facebook live video on Tuesday. After a Thornton Township meeting that was cancelled due to lack of attendance, Henyard, who also leads the township, defended herself against growing criticism.
The embattled mayor addressed accusations concerning her management of local affairs and finances, while labeling her opponents as corrupt.
‘I will be seeking arrests for individuals involved,’ she said in the Facebook live. ‘I will be pressing charges. It’s a lot. And that’s just me telling you a little bit, because all this finger-pointing at Tiffany – or lying on me – I’m over it. Now it’s time for me to speak. Truth speaks.’
