The Miami Dolphins will have to finish their Week 5 game against the New England Patriots without the services of running back De’Von Achane. Achane suffered a concussion and has been ruled out for the rest of the contest.
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported the news on social media.
Before he left the game, Achane rushed the ball three times for 18 yards. Luckily for the Dolphins, starting running back Raheem Mostert returned for this game against New England so Miami isn’t completely lost in the backfield.
Achane had been the starter for the Dolphins over the last few weeks while Mostert was out due to injury. He hasn’t been very productive, other than in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills.
For the year, he has rushed for 165 yards and one score on 53 carries. The young running back was expected to help ease Mostert back into the lineup but that plan …
