MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Getting a suspicious area or annoying skin condition checked out is as simple as emailing a photo to our dermatologist; but, for others across the world, challenges to good skin health care, such as a lack of nearby clinics or budgetary constraints, may hinder critical treatment.

World Skin Health Day is July 8, and CeraVe, the top skincare brand, is bringing together the dermatological community to raise awareness of the significant gap in skin care coverage.

An estimated one-third of the world’s population is affected by one of more than 3,000 skin illnesses, but more than one billion people do not have access to dermatological treatment.

Educating the public about skin health in July, CeraVe is collaborating with the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC) to improve access to dermatological care by providing free skin checks and therapeutic skincare products at select local clinics …
