Firefighters saw car batteries on fire inside the warehouse on Southeast Jennifer Street, according to Clackamas Fire. No one was injured.
CLACKAMAS, Ore. — Crews with the Clackamas Fire District responded to a car battery fire that broke out at a warehouse Wednesday morning.
Firefighters saw the batteries on fire inside the warehouse on Southeast Jennifer Street, Clackamas Fire said on social media just after 5 a.m. The car batteries were piled up on top of a pallet inside a warehouse for PPG Refinish, a company that provides products and services to manufacturers in commercial transportation and the aviation industries, according to its website.
“It was discovered that pallets containing old car batteries had been energized. Firefighters were able to mitigate the problem and a minimize any further damage,” Clackamas Fire said on social media.
