Creighton men’s basketball lands Arizona State transfer [Video]

Creighton has landed its first transfer of the offseason, bringing in former Arizona State guard Jamiya Neal, who announced his commitment Wednesday afternoon via social media.

Neal — a 6-foot-6 swingman from Toledo, Ohio — spent his first three years with the Sun Devils. After limited minutes in his first two seasons, Neal averaged 11 points and 5.4 rebounds this past season.

He’ll have one year of eligibility remaining.

“Creighton is getting a two-way guard who can play both ends of the floor,” said Corey Tucker, Neal’s NIL representative and the director of management and communications for Spencer Sports Management. “Great athleticism. Tenacious defender.”

“He’s a guy who’s really trying to find — well, he’s found a home — where he can play a different brand of basketball, an unselfish brand of basketball, and a winning brand of basketball.”
