Dallas Cowboys practice on Friday in Oxnard, California got off to a rather interesting start, as there were some notable absentees to begin the session.
Quarterback Dak Prescott, owner and general manager Jerry Jones, EVP Stephen Jones and VP of player personnel Will McClay were MIA for at least the first 20 minutes of practice, according to multiple reporters including Nick Harris of DallasCowboys.com (McCarthy and Williams were later observed on the field).
Their absences set social media abuzz, with reporters and fans speculating about what their absences might mean – whether Prescott was holding out in search of a new deal or if a new contract agreement was on the goal line.
