Charley Stoney has been appointed as the new CEO of the European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA).
Stoney, who is currently CEO of the Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI), will step into her new role in February 2025, with IAPI already initiating the recruitment process for her successor.
Stoney succeeds Tamara Daltroff, who has led the EACA‘s substantial growth over the last six years.
Stoney has a longstanding relationship with the EACA, having served as Chair of the National Associations Council on the EACA Board since 2022.
In this capacity, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s strategic direction.
Widely respected within Ireland’s advertising community, Stoney has led IAPI since 2018, transforming it into a prominent voice for the commercial creative industry in Ireland and nearly doubling its membership during her tenure.
Part of her legacy will be Stoney’s introduction of the Effie Awards to Ireland in 2021, showcasing marketing effectiveness on a global scale.
