Charles Hess IV arraigned in Wood County Wednesday afternoon [Video]

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – Tuesday night, Charles Hess IV was found after fleeing from the authorities, arrested and charged with attempted murder.

Hess had a warrant out for his arrest after he allegedly stabbed his mother in the head, attempting to kill her.

Wednesday afternoon, he was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate by Magistrate Jody Purkey.

With the charge of attempted murder, he could face anywhere from 3 to 15 years in a state penitentiary. His bond is set at $50,000 cash.

He is currently being held at North Central Regional Jail. A felony preliminary hearing will be scheduled within 10 days.
