RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Wednesday’s Legal and Finance Committee meeting discussed the challenge that would help relieve student lunch debt in Rapid City Area Schools.

The district offers school lunch to any student regardless of their ability to pay and has applications for free and reduced lunch programs. They currently have just over $114,000 in school lunch debt, but will school starting next week this number will soon rise.
