Burn Ban in effect for Independence County | White River Now [Video]

Independence County Judge Kevin Jeffery has issued a burn ban for the county.

“Due to a lack of rainfall and out of concern for our county citizens, a burn ban has been issued that is effective 8 a.m. this morning, Oct. 21, 2024. The ban will remain in place until adequate rainfall has occurred as determined by the county judge,” Jeffery said in a post on social media this morning.
