Benton man arrested and charged with child sex crimes [Video]

BENTON, Ark. — A Benton man has been arrested and charged for his involvement in child sex crimes.

According to reports, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip that originated via a social media platform. 

Agents with the Arkansas State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), alongside the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, then executed a search warrant at a Benton home in the 900 block of Weatherford Road.

After the search, 42-year-old James Brent Young of Benton was arrested and charged with 86 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.

He is being held at the Saline County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
