What Is the Grand Design Lineage?
Built on the Mercedes Benz 4500 Sprinter chassis with a twin-turbo, 4-cylinder engine, the Lineage (Series M) is Grand Design’s first foray into the world of motorhomes. Grand Design chose to go with the 4500 rather than the typical 3500 to give RVers an extra 1,000 pounds of GVWR (for a total of 12,125 lbs). This made it possible for Grand Design to stay away from using cheaper composite materials in the build to save on weight.
