PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Amtrak Northeast services between Philadelphia and New York City have been partially restored after being temporarily suspended on Monday due to overhead wire damage.
Amtrak said in an update that it hopes to have service fully restored by the early afternoon.
All trains scheduled to operate in the area are expected to incur a delay of 30-60 minutes.
Amtrak says customers with reservations on affected trains will typically be accommodated on trains with similar departure times or another day.
They will also waive additional charges for customers looking to change their reservation during the modified schedule. Riders are asked to the reservation center at 1-800-USA-RAIL to make changes.
