Ambulance services in Parkersburg in need of volunteers [Video]

PARKERSBURG, Iowa (KCRG) – The ambulance service in Parkersburg is issuing a call for help, saying it’s in dire need of volunteers.

In a post on social media, the organization said it needs volunteers now more than ever, saying it will take anyone, whether they’re an 18-years-old, who wants to drive or a 70-year-old nurse who wants to care for patients.

It said the current lack of volunteers means longer wait times- and it can cost people their lives.

The Parkersburg service says it offers a stipend to be on-call, free clothing, and payment for school.
