Knoxville Waste Connections moves Friday trash pickup to Monday due to snow, all other customers running on 1-day delay [Video]

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — People in Knoxville will not have their trash picked up on Friday by Waste Connections, as wintry weather and snow approach the region.

The company said on social media that people who are usually serviced on Friday will instead have their trash picked up on Monday. All other customers will then run on a one-day delay, Waste Connections said. No routes will run on Friday, Jan. 10.

The company also said recycling customers who were not serviced this week will resume service on their next normal day. Those customers can put out additional boxed recycling at that time, the company said.
